Coverly offers three distinct types of Insurance cover
- Cover for creative equipment you own that you are using out of house
- Cover for creative equipment you own that you rent out to a third party
- Cover for creative equipment you rent from a third party
Yes, we offer a non-owned equipment policy for rental companies whose equipment has been listed on our site. If the rental house whose equipment you wish to cover is not listed, please contact us and we will seek to have their items added to our platform. The maximum sum insured per item is $100,000 and an aggregate value of $250,000 for all items insured at any one time. Should you wish to insure an item with a replacement value above the maximum limit, please contact us on (02) 8326 0510 or via email hello@coverly.com.au with details as approvals may be granted for specific equipment.
Items can be insured for as little as one day, up to 90 days in total. Please contact us on (02) 8326 0510 or via email hello@coverly.com.au. should a longer period be required.
The Coverly policies cover physical loss or damaged to insured items only and does not extend to any third-party liabilities (including bodily injury or property damage). Please refer to the relevant policy wording for full details of the cover provided, including the limitations, and exclusions of the cover.
The policy will cover the cost to repair or replace the item up to the replacement value, or the sum insured chosen by you (or the equipment owner in the case of non-owned equipment), whichever is lesser. The choice of whether to repair or replace will be determined by us.
Sometimes called a “deductible” or “excess”, this is the first amount that must be contributed by the insured towards each claim. The deductible under the policy is 5% of the equipment value, subject to a minimum of $250 and a maximum deductible of $2,500.

Due to the short-term, on-demand nature of this insurance, the premium is fully earned at inception and non-refundable, however, you can cancel at any time prior to the start date of the policy for a full refund of the premium, less processing fees.
